Comments: I had a very good new car experience with Don Beyer. They were not pushy or overly agressive while I was shopping. And when I went in to buy, they beat the best price I had, even though it was from a buying service for a different dealer. When I picked up the car, it had some sort of water leak in the cabin the first day I had it. Even though I had already taken delivery of the car, I told them I wanted a new one, and they did so without any discussion or argument. Very impressive. Highly recommended (which was from a different dealer)

Comments: Service department is excellent, Mike Lunsford is the man! They always got me a loaner car right away. I had charging system problems that they didn't quite fix the first time around, and after that, they didn't bill me anything until they fixed it right.

Comments: Great location if you need to get to there via the Metro (subway). It's no more than a 10 minute walk from the West Falls Church station, but the service department also has a courtesy car that can pick you up. I also like the fact that its service dept is open until 7:30pm, so you can pick up your car after work. The only down side to this dealership is that sometimes it can take a while to get an appointment, however, my experience with its service department has been good.

I've serviced my '85 740GLE, my '92 940GL, my '98 S70 T5, and now my '05 S60R....good balance between service, cost and performance.

I wish they would open up an aftermarket dept inside their service organization...perhaps an afiliation with Evolve or TME of Sweden. Stillman Volvo in West Chester, PA is a fine example of this...they're listed as a TME Dealer.

I suppose it is just personal experience, everyone has good and bad experiences at different places. I used to go to Don Beyer and they were terrible. They broke the power seat on my Mom's XC70, as well as the plastic under her handbrake. As far as I am concerned, they performed work I did not authorize (I asked to be notified for approval if over $300). In addition my coolant light came on after I left, and they wouldn't even talk to me. They said they were nowhere near the coolant sensor and it was my problem. I went to Fairfax Volvo, and the techs at Beyer had just forgotten to plug it back in. Simple fix, I just wished they would have at least LOOKED at it. I have been VERY happy with Fairfax Volvo.

Comments: Purchased '99 V70CX new from Don Beyer. Purchase was fine (Salesman was Yousef). Service at both Fairfax and Alexandria was worst ever experienced anywhere. Experienced the infamous throttle ECM problem after 55k miles. After manu letters, meetings and much mental anguish, Don Beyer and Volvo of North America all told me "Tuff...out of waranty." Fortunately, now, 5 years after the problem, Volvo owned up to it and gave V70 owner's a rebate for the maintenance (but only a partial rebate...and ONLY AFER A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM). This was my first and last Volvo. When I pay this much for a car, I expect better quality and customer satisfaction. When you buy a Volvo, you're on your own...no dealer or factory support what so ever. I've done my best to steer buyers away from Don Beyer Volvo and I'll continue to do so forever.

Oh this place is horrible for customer service. I took my car in to get my car looked at for my MAF. Well when I got the car back the alignment was all messed up, there were dents in my passenger door and they said they were there before. They did not do anything to help me out. Horrible people and wicked expensive.

Ok, had another horrible time there.... I went to look at this 1998 Volvo V70R AWD with 73k miles on it... I was at another dealership and then got there at 615pm on a Sat which they closed at 6pm... I walked into the used car lot and asked if they were closed.. and they said yes... then I said.. ok thanks

then he asked what did I need? I said I wanted to get more information on this R.... well he then said.. sorry we are closed (there were other customers in there at the time)... and then asked if i wanted his card...

I said I just have a couple questions about this R out here... he then said we are closed you want my card and You can call me... I said no i will just go to another dealership

very rude... he could have spared 15mins to answer my questions about a car that I was lookign to buy... very rude... assholes

Well I just got a call from Stephanie Beyer.... she is apoligizing for the salesmen.

she said that even though it was 15mins late he did not have the reasoning for dismissing me that way even though I had a couple questions
