Comments: I would like to start with the sales end of the dealership I find that they are a very typicle west MI. dealership in that they are always a little over priced and love to wheel and deal. If you go in with some knowledge on what you are looking for you can get them down to a reasonable price. Most of the sales staff are young college aged people on there way to something else besides car sale so the customer service is a little lacking. If you can get past that the overall experience is tolarable. The service dept. is entirely different for the sales dept they service Volvo, Mercedes, and VW. they keep a good staff of factory trained mechanics for all of the brands they sell. they treat service customers very well and the mechanics treat your car very well. there prices are with in the Std. for this area about $62.00 per hr. the parts dept. also does a very fine job of trying to take care of the customer and will work with you on special orders. over all I would recommend Betten Imports to any Volvo owner. This is how ever the ONLY betten dealership that i can recommend they are a family of dealerships with brothers and fathers running the others which include: Dodge,Toyota, Ford, and Chevy. These dealerships are plaiged with problems ranging from very bad sales staff to totaly incompident service departments.

I live very close to this dealership and get all my parts from there. The parts department is really helpful and a few of the guys are really funny to talk to as well^^

I also live very close to Betten, but I have not had good luck. They have misdiagnosed several problems that would have cost me over $2K to fix in their shop. Also, if there are savings for doing two jobs at once (i.e. if the head needs to come off to fix two problems) they won't adjust the quote to only charge me for removing the head once.

Also, the first post in this thread says that their labor rate is $62/hr, but it's now up towards $90/hr.

I'm finished with them. I found an independent shop in the area that seems trustworthy.

-Parts department is really nice, so are most of the people that work there.
-Labor is fairly expensive, but they do a good job and the people that call and talk to you about your car know their stuff.
-Only problem I had was I called them to make an appointment to look at my car. They said no problem bring it in Thursday morning, I said it wouldn't work for me so they said bring it in first thing monday morning at 8am. So I get there in the morning and bring it in. They told me they weren't sure if they could even get to it today and I said i had an apointment. I was then informed they never scheduled the appointment, but had the work order of what i wanted done (wanted them to fix the wheel bearing and rear control arms). Just had a misscommunication on when i was bringing my car in.
-I would bring my car back and recommend any Volvo owner there, good service, knowledgable, and they AIM TO PLEASE!
