Comments: After reading BB forums and before I bought my volvo, I went to my one and only Tampa volvo dealership and made friends with the service manager. Once I told them I was going to buy a yellow 95T-5R wagon they were thrilled and showed me around their service area and facilities. I didnt buy the car from them. When I brought it in for a 44pt inspection the rumour must of spread and all the service techs were waiting to check out my car. They allowed me in the service bay so they could show me any faults with my car. I had to revisit them after 2 weeks as they put a tracer dye in my A/C and they took me right in without having an appointment or waiting. I will not hesitate to take my car back to them as they have some 'enthusiasts' who work for them. They seem expensive for parts & labour so I will seek an indie for any major work, but for regular maintenance & service-Tampa volvo. I rate them 10 and only time will tell if they keep it up!!

I also had a nice sit down with the service manager when I test drove a couple C30s a couple months ago. Took about 30 minutes on a slow Saturday (I guess) and had a real nice chat. I placed an OSD with them a couple weeks ago which was stress free. So far, so good, will keep all posted.

They do seem like good people to work with. I have not had any service there but I have bought some parts there that I could not find online. They are expensive. I can only imagine what service prices are there. The parts guys are sharp though and definitely willing to help you out. Especially if you seem to know what you're talking about when they ask questions about your car and the parts you're after.

Thanks for the detailed report to all of you. I've been a VS member for some years now and just moved down here from Chicagoland (I'm in Tampa). I don't do much work on my car now since I live in an apartment and its nice to have these specific forums, especially since i trust most of the folks on this site. I will be reporting what I get cuz i have to take my '93 850 in for some work. I really did not want to go to the stealership and am researching shops in the area.

Again, thanks and I will do my part by reporting anything useful.
