Interesting that a 4.0L V8 is heavier than the I-6 they were using. Hard to believe that they want to win races THAT much, and hard not to believe that they can ask a higher entry price if they have a V8 like the S4.

No the interesting part is that the 4.0L is going to be just as light as the I-6. BMW for the pas half a dozen years has been developing a magnesium alloy block. The new 4.0L will have this mag alloy block allowing it to weigh no more than its smaller sibling. So increase in power but not at the cost of weight. Only good things can come from this
