FCP Groton advertises a longer accessory belt:

This is recommended, not hard, and there is a good write up in the repairs or reference section with a good diagram of the new routing

I've been running one for about two years; just put the second one on...no squeels, no breaks, no slippage (though no real difference from the original noticed either.) It might make a difference with high current accessories though...don't run them, so I don't know.
