Hello, I just had to change the spindle on my car due to breakage, and I bought a used one with bearing still on, After installation and mechanic check.
They said it was ok, but now I have a strange noise from front right when I turn the wheel to the left, but not to the right, Could it just be allignement,( aslo changed springs and schocks) Or could it be tha bearing.

The sounfd is like a wee whee whee sound(but very fast, so it sounds almost as dunk dunk dunk dunk) but broken up, and makes the casr tremble slightly.
What could this be, the bearing looked good, and I greased it before mounting. huh.gif

Well if the car is vibrating I would say something was left loose or not tight enough like your axle?...Or it could be something as simple as a backing plate rubbing?

Dont think it was the axle, torqued it to spec, on the other hand, let me check the intermediate bearing when I get home, But I dont think its the axle, newly rebuilt, from FCP Groton.
Could it be the new tires and missalignement??
Or could it be something BAAAAAAADDDDDD ohmy.gif

If it was the right spindle that broke, I'd say a bearing. When you turn right, you take the load off the bearing and it wouldn't make noise; when you turn left, you put full load on the bearing....the sharper the turn at the higher the speed, the more the load and the louder the noise. If that's the case, the bearing is probably bad.

A new tire, or suspension component shouldn't cause the noise whirring noise you describe. The trembling sounds like the bearing is loose though...check the axle nut and control arm bolts...if they're tight...I'll wager your bearing is bad.

Check your alignment and maybe consider tire balancing. Often times a vibration can result from throwing a tire weight. If you've just replaced the hub it's not likely that hub has gone bad already...

The bolts for the hub usually come with a new hub (it will specificy in the description on-line). Price is typically about $170 for the hub with bolts or about $125 for just the hub. I bought mine on line at Taylorautomotive.com....they had the best prices at the time for this part.

Most recommend new bolts however I cleaned up and used the old ones and have had no issues. Lots of how to posts and hints to simplify the job if you do a search on "wheel bearing"

The 30mm axle nut does not come with the kit, the online price is about $7. Again, I cleaned up and used my old one.

It could be a busted belt in the tire, broken pitman or idler arm, possibly broken sway bar. Tires can make that whoosh whoosh sound though.

I know for a fact that the sway bar bushings are broken, so I get a lot of clanking noises from it when I brake or go over a bump. Any idea if iPds swaybars come with bushings, or is it just the bar???

Reuse the axle nut??? The one I got is the one that gets bent down in a groove, so That means that I have to make sure it does not go to the same place again right???
