there is a petcock drain on the trailing side on the bottom of the radiator.

are you sure you're losing coolant from a hose? The 850 radiators have been known to fail along the plastic seams on the ends of the radiator, allowing seepage. Mine seeps a little, but it isn't losing enough to warrant replacement yet.

How is your temp gauge reading? exactly at the 3 o'clock position? If not, you should replace your t-stat while you're at it, or if you have over 100k on the original, you should replace it just for maintenance's sake, you'll thank yourself later, and it's cheap + easy.

A forgotten area is behind the engine, by the firewall, where a 3" rubber hose connects to the aluminum pipe going to the turbo.

Mine was leaking slowly with no puddles of coolant on the floor.

The reason there was no obvious puddles, was that the leak was dripping on the hot heat shield and it was evaporating.

One day after coming from work, I run my finger under the hose and it came up wet. I turned the engine on, and watched a drop fell on the heat shield and evaporated smile.gif .
