I've tried to figure this out a little, but would like some info-

Do the switches (headlights, sunroof, hazards, rear defrost, etc) on my '94 850 actually light up? At the current time they are pitch black, no lights at all. Would this be a fuse issue since they're ALL out? Has anyone dealt with this at all?

thanks smile.gif

they're supposed to light up, but pre '96 you have to buy the whole switch sad.gif .

'96 and newer switches have a little bulb that can be replaced easily.

Your best bet is to upgrade your '94 to the newer switches. Try eBay or the wreckyard.

most likely they'll all burned out. The led lights usually last 2 to 3 years.

Charisma,

I have a 1994 NA 850, no sunroof. I recently replaced the light in my headlight switch. It was very easy to do. As I do not have the sunroof, I can't tell about this one. Let me suggest this: pull out the headlight switch and study it very carefully.
If I remember correctly there is a white socket where a 2mm bulb goes.
Bulb type is radio shack 7219, 12v 60mA.
The hazard switch has a light in it, but my one has not failed yet, so I can't tell if it is as easy. But if you do the headlight one, most of what you will learn will apply to others
Good Luck

I replaced the burnt out bulbs in my 93 switches with LEDs. I used the smallest LEDs I could find, and then used some 470ohm resistors in line. There's plenty of room inside the switch if you're decent with a soldering iron.

There is a recall for the light switch the one that turns on your headlights, but it's not for 850s.

All going out at the same time, is not reasonable. There is something else wrong. I'd need a schematic to help out so it will be until at least tomorrow evening.

The only fuse I show on that is #35 (5amp) but if just the switches you listed are out it has to be bulbs...according to what I see on a diagram ?
