My engine seems to warm up faster than any other car I've owned, It gets to midlevel on the thermastat within 5-7minutes and sometimes faster...it never goes above, I don't have any leaks in oil or in radiator, car runs fine. same power as always.
Any feed back on this?
Thanks

the intake on newer volvos incorporates a "pre-heater" hose which takes heated exhaust vapors (not actual exhaust) and routes it into the intake box, allowing for faster warm-up. 5-7 minutes is normal-- A lot of guys remove this hose, or route it down to the front of the car to get colder air.

5 min to warmup is normal.

Longer than that, and I would worry about a failed t-stat in the open position.

5 minutes on the 850 is the max other wise consider the thermostat open.
