i think those spoilers have clamps that just clamp to the trunk, no drilling

and anyone with VADIS could find the part number for the shifter
you'll have to replace the WHOLE SHIFTER unit however...not just the shifter itself

when I installed my spoiler, I just spliced the lines into the wires for a brake light, either the 3rd brake light or whatever. As far as mounting the spoiler, it just clips on (assuming they give you all the proper hardware). I didn't get everything I needed to mount mine, so I had to fab up some crap on my own.

side question- Does anyone know how much an 850 spoiler mounting kit (if such a thing exists) is @ the dealer?

from the dealer the spoiler comes installed w/ a clamp on each end (kind of a clip actually), and some sort of 3M double-sided foam stick tape under each contact area between the spoiler and trunk. I just bought my spoiler off ebay last summer, and that's how I installed it.

I'll take a look in my trunk to see how I wired it exactly, and if it's different from what I posted, I'll snap some pics to clear it up.

There is two clips (4 torx screws) and 3 pieces of 3M double sided tape that comes with the spoiler kit...I think I was price quoted $31? something like that...might of been 40? (www.bostonvolvo.com go to parts and send them an e-mail you get a 15% discount and they do ship..)

As far as the wiring for the spoiler brake light, underneath the trunk carpet (the above part that actually flies open) you'll find a yellow connector, you just put the two little connectors from the spoiler wiring to into that connector and it works fine....you can also get rid of the 3rd brake light in the inside of the car (rear deck) and have no problems with the dash bulb out light coming on...
