I must've not gotten the thermosts weeble pushed all the way back into the foam seat base, because after I repaired the broken wires the seat base got so hot I had to manually turn the seat off. I never figured it would fail though.
So, can I check to verify that it is the seat base and not the seat back element that is failed without removing the car from the seat?
Has anyone removed and repaired the wire heating element?
TIA,
-doug

The back and bottom are in series so there is no easy way to check, it's the bottom.
