OUCH! I assumed that when I was purchasing anti-squeek tape from the dealership for $2/each (part #3537385), I would get a roll. Instead, it's a 4" strip of tape... for $2.... I bought two strips for $4 + tax. Meaning, I paid $0.50 per INCH of tape. Bastards.

Well, atleast now I can go to the hardware store, show them this tape and say "gimmie something like this" and walk away with a mile worth for $1.

Okay, here are is a close up to show you what the texture of the tape is.

And here are the strips as a whole. The sticky adhesive side is shiny and pretty sticky.

After some research I found that this is known as Flocked Tape. So far I can only find wholesale suppliers for it... would anyone know of a source to get this stuff? It appears to be thin and high quality.

Dude, you wanna know what I would do? Buy one of those giant rolls of velcro, pitch the "rough" side, and use the nappy afro looking side. It looks just like that overpriced stuff, and Velcro comes in all sorts of colors.

The "nappy afro like side" of the velcro might work. This might be the panacea for all of those stupid creaks in the dash!

Where is this to be applied? I assume between the dash and the glass, but any specific place?

Someone around here has the list of exactly were this goes. What a sort of a recal from volvo i think, they released were it should be applied to quiet it down. Definatly a thing for me to do this summer....along with peel and seal in the door.

Those are probably the best two methods to quiet down your car humanly possbile. I've found that the gas door is also subject to making a lot of unnecesary noise

Yep, I'm using the stuff VADIS told me. Though I think that's not everything that could rattle, it's a major start.

I am going to try this one of these upcoming weekends and document every bit of it.
