There is a set of the 5 spoke classic turbo mag wheels down in the yard at my buddy's work place. I was going to get them for AutoX with a set of Falken Azenis for racing only. They are on a 740 turbo, 5 bolt pattern, and I wasn't sure if they would fit my 850 or not. I want to know before I buy.

Thankyou for any info!

I was wrong. The 740 wheels will fit on an 850, but will stick out a little further than stock wheels.

Thanks Patrick for correcting me wink.gif

other way around- the 740 rims will stick WAYY out in the front of the 850. Now if you were trying to put your 850 rims on the 740 (like I tried to do w/ my old 740) you'd need 20mm spacers.

The 740 rims might look kinda sweet on the rear of the 850 as far as spacing, but up front they'll look silly, and perhaps rub.

it'll work nicely as theyll be hub centric and wide.

the offset is wider yes, but if you keep some neg camber on the front it'll probably look pretty mean actually. ive seen them on a S70, they didnt sit that wide, no wider than the old MAS italy's i had and brian now has.

I guess I stand corrected. I was gauging my opinion off of my experience w/ 850 rims on my 740. The front rims wouldn't bolt up w/out serious spacing, and even when spaced looked like they were too far in.

I'd like to see some pics of this if you get 'em on smile.gif

Wow, good deal, I'll have to do that. I'm getting them off a wrecked 740 turbo, don't know how much he's going to charge, hopefully no more than $60 per rim. The Falkens tires on the other hand, will cost me. $120 per tire just for AutoX. So, I'm goin to attempt to AutoX with the street tires just to see how I like it. If I want to stick with it, I'll lay down the money for the tire upgrade.

Thanks for the info! PEACE!

sweet- I'd think he might even go less on the rims, maybe 50 a piece. Make sure you get some pics of those bad boys. How wide are those rims anyway? like 6.5?

...yeah...I tried to put my 850 wheels on my old 745T. The rear wheels bolted right on but the front wouldn't. The Brake caliper was hitting the rim. Not enough backspacing on the rim.

Couldn't spacers fix this problem... say 15mm ones?

Yes, the Falken Azenis ST-115 is available in 215/45/17

Any shop that sells Falken tires should be able to special order them for you if they do not have them in stock.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking of...

I don't think a 225/45/17 will fit very well.

225/45 might actually fit, but it'd be rather bulky-looking, and definitely bad for an N/A application w/ the greater diameter.
