Ok so i found a chip for sale. its a upsolute ecu chip for a s70 t5 auto. the guy has a good asking price. But i am running a stock as balls engine and am not planning on doing any major mods anytime soon (tlaking about a year or so) only engine modsim going to do are est intake a maganflow muffler so...but if i get the chip i will have to find a dealer (which i did, about 45 mins away) and have them solderit to the ecu board. i was tlaking with JC from rocketeer and he said that if i buy it that its better to have themsolder in a socket so that is i want to sellthe car or do anything else i dont run the risk of taking the chip off if it is soldered right to the board and possibly breaking the board which means i would need a new ecu.

so what im asking is if you guys think it is a good idea to buy this chip and be running it at about 13-15 psi with stock hoses, that i know at some point will go out with that much psi so...im going to buy the universal starter kit soon so i can tkae car of my boost leaks so......tell me what u guys think i should do.

The silicone kit is for your vacuum leaks and those need to be fixed otherwise you are wasting your money (and probably killing your o2 sensors.)

Stage 0 is definitely required for a chipped vehicle, that being said if it is a smoking deal then go for it.

My other main concern would be your turbo hoses (the ones that the Samco silicone kit replaces, you know the ones in the group buy wink.gif). Dependent upon the condition of your current rubber turbo hoses, they may break down, i.e. crack or burst, within 5 minutes after you get it chipped or they may last a year or longer.

If you get the Samco kit now you won't have to worry about it (and now is a great time since it is a definite delivery, whereas if you have to order later on you might have to wait a month or longer for them).

But I agree, get all the Stage 0 stuff done, and IMO, get the Samco hoses now rather than later.
