Ok, on a 1999 V70 XC, the heat/air con stopped blowing. It can still make very hot air and very cold air, but the (fan?) will not push the air out. When I move the fan slider nothing changes, the hot/cold air continues to come out very slowly. When the car was first started, it made an extremely weird noise...kinda like buzzing. I don't know the name of the part or anything. Anyone know what could be wrong and perhaps how much a repair might run(if DIY is not possible)?

Hi

Have you checked the fuse - I think there are two for the blower motor?

Hmmm, nope. I will though! Will it be obvious if it is bad?

A blown fuse. Under the fusebox lid there should be labels for the blower/AC/heater which relate to a number on the fusebox. With the car off, pull out the fuses that are under those numbers and look into the fuse.

If it looks like this:

That means it's blown, get a same amperage (or same color rather) replacement.
