My '95 T5R has the 15psi speedtuning chip, and the boost was a good 15psi with 17psi spikes. So I have a Turbo XS boost controller lying around and I decide to install it.
I disconnect the factory electric one and plug the blow off hose pre TB. And I hook up the MBC, but I am an idiot I unplugged the electrical connection on the factory boost control device triggering a check engine light.
On top of that I forgot how the boost controller went so I put it on backwards, but I figured that out after about two passes trying to tune it. So I get the MBC on correct and I can't get consistent boost in all gears, 1st would be 10, 2nd 15, 3rd 18, and it just didn't feel strong enough.
So I wanted to go back to the way it was so I plug the factory device back in, and it only boosted to 10psi. I also checked the port for a code and I got a 5-3-5 I think, which was a TC control valve, so I assume that was when I unplugged the device. So I reset the Light, and it still only boosts 10psi.
Then I crank the wastegate a couple of turns tighter, and now it will boost 11-12 in 1st, 14-15 in 2nd, and 15-16 in 3rd.
Any Idea what went wrong and how I can get back to that steady 15 in all gears?
Thanks,
Jeremy

Put your wastegate back to where it was and recheck your hose routing and connections.

Hey, Dave, that was my T-5R. Now lives south of St. Augustine, Flo, so no more snow on it, ever, I bet.

Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a raindance.
