Can I fit 18's without too much trouble?

Recommended Posts

I have been toying with the idea of bumping up from my 17 inch Volans on my 855 to an 18 inch wheel with the same offset. I know this question has been asked probably a million times but I'd like some input as to if I could make a 18x8 Peg wrapped in a 215 40 18 WITHOUT rolling fenders. I have IPD sport springs to drop the car and I don't want to roll my fenders as my paint looks like this (yes I needed to treat my ashy bumpers in this picture):

Don't want to risk compromising the paintjob or the entire look of the car by cracking the paint, denting the fenders, pulling them etc.

So, will they fit with minimal rubbing? I don't mind if they do on full lock or if the rears are really loaded down and I hit a bump hard. Thoughts?https://192168ll.onl/https://xender.vip/ https://testmyspeed.onl/

What shocks are you running with the ipd blue springs?

What is your current tire size? (looks like 215 45 17)

Are you running spacers now?

I'm surprised that you dont already have tons of rubbing/issues up front if indeed you have 215 45 17.

18" fits fine on my lowered 1998 VR. IPD springs/Koni shocks in the front and nivo drops in the back. Fender liners are still 100% intact (except where they have rubbed through at steering lock)

Will it rub over large dips and at full lock? Yes. Is it severe? No. Just know the game you're playing. 18" looks so good I don't want to go back to the 17"s I had before.

That's your fault for buying the inferior car.

Like previously said 850 have a slightly diff ''room'', S/V/C 70 was improved , I wear 18x8.5 with 235/40, it rubs a bit more on front, no fender rolled,  coil over wont allow the back to move so no worries.
