Ya'll might remember me as the dumb 17 year old who wrecked his C70 into a tree at 100 mph or ya'll might remember me as the kid who asks dumb questions.
If you don't remember me then screw it. Here's what I have to say and heres my question.

About a month after I totalled my C70 I got a 2002 E46 330i. Last weekend I blew the Bimmer's head. It was the 3.0L DOHC Twin Vanos motor, pretty beefy but heres the catch. The happy BMW place said that the warranty does not cover it. They are trying to charge me $7,200 to replace the head. Thats straight up I'm dumb. So I am going to trade it in on a 94' 850 GLT 5 spd. I can still buy my C70 motor back. If I get the car and the motor would I be able to get the GLT tranny to work with the ME7T5? I know the gearing would be geared really low but the question is, is it adaptable?

No offense, but maybe just maybe you should keep the glt engine in there and just respect the car for what it is... a NA engine with a 5 speed transmission.

I didn't ask if you think I should drive again...I asked if the GLT tranny is adaptable to the ME7T5.

The real question should be can the ME7 system work in the 1994 vechicle. and the answer is................ No. Unless you change out the wiring harness and make sure you transfer all the sensors from the ME7 to the 1994. Any thing could be done, but this one sounds like way too much research and a strong background in automotive repair and modifications would be needed.
