I just installed a 16T turbo and BSR 3" down pipe today, and on the drive back home from the garage the CEL came on. A2 socket threw codes 522 and 153 (both pertain to rear O2 sensor).

Could the sensors be bad or is it something to do with the downpipe/turbo?

Off-topic, but related ... it looks like I have a line on a nice 16T as well, plus I already have a 3" BSR down pipe. My question was about fitment issues. Everything go okay for you? Any problems? Mainly I was concerned because I know my down pipe is 3", but it narrows down a bit at the flange portion so I was wondering if the diameter of the 15G and the 16T were different, and if they were if it caused any problems with the BSR. Here's a couple pics of my down pipe. Sorry, I wish I had better pics of the flange ... I snapped these real quick last year just prior to install.

Fitment was perfect, but make sure you use the donut between the turbo and the down pipe.

As far as the codes go, anyone? I made a mistake it's socket A2

Well the signal is missing (153) and there is no heater circuit (522) First step would be to see if the thing is plugged in or damaged in any way. No codes before the mod so something happen.

Who did the job, you or a shop? My front o2 went bad shortly after my install. It looked plugged in correctly and no damage to the wires. It was either random from being disturbed, or else the shop wasn't: either careful with it and knocked it around while it was out, or they got greasy hands on the sensor element. I'm sure you've cleared the codes and/or tried pulling the ecu/disconnect battery, right?

how long can it stay like this before something bad happens? The shop (my roommate's friend) and I did the job. I put the O2 sensors back on their plugs and on the down pipe. They're plugged in for sure, because we checked that before putting the airbox back on.

Also, the CEL didn't come on till after ~20 mins of driving. I'm guessing the rear sensor went bad. It's been there for over 140K miles, and I probably knocked it/them while trying to unseize the darn things off the original downpipe. They were on there reaaaallly good. Rust and all.

Oh well, there's a couple more hundred pumped into the car.

So, how long before my catalytic converter bites the dust?
