Tailgate Hinges

any advice on how to grease tailgate hinges on 2002 v70 ?
what is their setup, how do they work....its hard to see from the outside;
anyone with pictures/sketches ?

I'm using white lithium spray grease......wanted to find out actually where to spray it......I think I just use a 'shotgun' approach

We don't lube them at the dealer, mainly cause to get to the hinge you would have to take down part of the rear upper trim in the car, and unless they are making noise or feel stuck, there is no need to tear things apart. That white lithium grease might be good but I hate it, it makes a big mess everywhere you spray it, expecially on the doors.

I'm using a straw extension; its not that bad; I'm using also a brush whereever is accessible and effective
