Hello everyone. when in florida I drive a 2004 x5 and experience the fact that the build quality is superb. i remember a point in my life when my volvo felt similarly solid. however, the interior is just falling apart. here is a list of problems, and if you could tell me where/how to fix i would be very happy.

1) Climate sensor for a/c has come out of the dash and the plastic part of the dash it connects into is cracked. can i just replace this piece of trim or must i replace the whole dash ohmy.gif
1.5) sound like the dash is movin around - can it be padded more???
2) passenger side seatbelt does not rewind itself so well, has a lot of slack - is there a tensioner to replace?? how much?? how hard???
3) door trim is bubbling (AHHHH!) - how to fix? replace? who sells used panels??!!
4) hear a strange clanking noise coming from under car over bumps - however suspension appears to be tight and tip-top - problem has been getting worse over time. just replaced inner and outer tie rods, stabilizer links, struts, upper strut mounts, shocks, rear shock mounts....what else could it be??!??! ohmy.gif

what are some things taht you volvo owners do out there to insulate and "solidify" our cars and make them feel more vaultlike?

i'm not sure what you are speaking of in terms of the AC sensor e/t/c? picture?

first try tightening all the torx screws for the dash, if that doesn't work pull it up and put felt tape on all the seams/creases

bubling door pannels are a classic prob in the 70's for some reason. contact a salvage yard is your best bet for that

when you replaced the strut mounts did you also replace the spring seats?
