The car has been having some weird problems lately. Sometmies, while cranking, it sounds like something is missing, or something. It's hard to describe, but it sounds unhealthy, like the car is sputtering and missing, even though it hasn't started. Sometimes it starts fine. Also, usually after it starts all strangely, the vacuum at idle is at ~10-12 inches of vacuum, low compared to it's usual 16-20.
Also, while getting on the freeway today (still with only 5 psi of boost), the shifts from first->second and second->third were really hard, and after the shift, boost dropped to around 2 psi before slowly picking up again, making it feel like I had just lost 3/4 of my power. It didn't do this before.
Any ideas? Thanks.
By the way, if you have any idea where my darn boost leak is, let me know. Really annoying.

Nope.
Although I'm pretty sure the problem is my darn throttle body hose. It's shredding and pops halfway off the tb under boost. Not sure if this is the actual problem, but hooking it up nice and snug (at least until 10 psi blows it off) fixed my boost problems.
I'm trying to get a new one, but it all depends entirely on whether my parents are willing to front the money for the Samco kit and let me pay them back.

At least get a new clamp to hold the thing in place better.

Trying, but it's really quite seriously damaged.
