In several engine bay pictures I've seen a black circular disk high on the firewall. As a matter of fact, I have one too. It seems to be connected to the brakes and the ignition coil.
Please tell me what this is. It appears to be adjustable.

It is the horn for the alarm system. Pretty harmless and boring. Mine sounds like a dying cat but when you adjust it (tighten it) it sound a little better.
