Installed Front Spring And Now I Hear A Noise

I installed the front TME springs today with stock struts, only 22k on the car. Everything seem to go pretty smooth and trouble free. I was careful to put the spring in the right way and face everything the way it came off the car. Everything seem to go easy until the test drive. I noticed a thump/rub type sound almost like a flat tire. By that I mean as I slowed down it got slower and when I sped up it turned itno more of a rub sound. I looked under the car and theres no boots rubbing that I can see. No CV fluid anywhere either. Have any ideas what it could be?

The sound is only on the driver's side.

Maybe the alignment is really off?
94 850 NA 200,000 miles, K&N air filter, Koni Struts & Shocks, IPD Sway Bars, Euro side lights

It feels a little off but not that far that it would make a noise, I don't think.

Check that the axle is fully seated back in the transmission, that the axle nut is tight and that the dust shield isn't rubbing against the rotor. It is really easy to slightly bend the dust shield, so I'd bet that's your problem. If it is rubbing, just bend it back by force...no real problem.

How was the condition of the rubber spring seats, any cracks?

Thanks guys, I thought about the dust shield when I was driving. Thanks for reminding me. I did do a little "hand prying" on it. Thats probably it.

The spring seats looked like new. Remember the car only hast 22k.

Thanks again for your help. I'll let you know if it was the dust shield.
