He may have had a downpipe done too. Downpipe + the right exhaust + the right chip may yield more HP. And in fact the said "race" only went to about 45-50 MPH cuz I had to get on the highway ramp. Maybe I would have beaten him later.

ive seen a 1.8T GTI w/ chip and turbo-back run a 14.3 just so you know. they are very tuneable.

Yeah I know of several GTI's that run low to mid 14's with minor mods.

that i agree with, i forgot the GTI, I was thinking A4 which is what I've driven and raced. I think it's heavier than the GTI.
