Ok, Finished my first real tune-up on my '97 850. 2 days of labor - new distributor cap, rotor, plugs (bosch copper), wires (Magnecor), K&N filter, coolant flush, ATF flush, turbo oil return repair, rear upper strut mount, and just general TLC. Car now runs like an absolute champ! Best car I've ever owned.
However, as I was going through the car, I noticed that every bit of plumbing that was associated with the turbo/intercooler "air circuit" seemed to be coated in oil at the attachment point. Every intercooler pipe that I pulled off of the car was also visibly coated with oil inside as well.
Is this normal? It seemed like a lot of oil, but this is the first turbo car I've owned, so maybe it's fine. If this is normal, just pat me on the head and I'll be on my way. If it's a problem, where should I start looking for leaks? Keep in mind, I'm new to turbos, so speak slowly and use small words.tongue.gif
Sorry, I'm just a little paranoid since at the last oil change the car only had about 2qts of oil in it! blink.gif
