Sometimes I have a severe shake when I brake. I don't think this is a warped rotor because at low speed it doesn't do this. It is particurarly bad at high speed and low brake pressure when going down a long grade. My car is a '98 V70 T5. IPD suggested replacing the conrtol arm bushings, which I did and it seemed to help for a while, but then it came back worse. Any ideas?

Best wagon ever if the damn airbox would stop vibrating and it didn't have a Ford Escort headliner.

Is the shaking more in the steering wheel, brake pedal, or general car shake?
Steering wheel=front rotors, brake pedal=rear rotors, entire car=really bad fronts or rears (REALLY BAD) or, more likely, control arm bushings.

It's in the steering wheel. I've looked at the rotors and they don't look warped. I've already replaced the bushings because I had the rotors turned not too long ago. Thanks for your help.

If your steering wheel shakes with brake application, your front rotors are more than likely warped.

If you turned the rotors recently, I would ask if you have OEM pads on there. If not, I strongly recommend you return to them. I have had problems with warped rotors, and I firmly believe it was due to aftermarket pads.

Rotors wouldn't look warped...maybe grooved, but you wouldn't see warpage without a straight edge.

Also consider sticking sliding pins on the front calipers. Those can cause heavy vibrations at some times and not at others.
