What discussion is needed? Take it to dealer. Dealer fix problem. Get on with life.

Or is there more to it?

I made an appointment to have it checked next week. The service writer that that they've inspected nine so far with no failures spotted. If they do spot a failure, they must order the tank and have the customer return for the tank replacement.

Just this week I've noticed a stain under the tank on the garage floor after I completely fill the tank, but haven't yet gotten my head under there to see just what I can spot.

Had my leak checked. Turned out it was coming out the fuel pump when tank was full(plastic part gets old and leaks). Dealer wanted to replace fuel pump for $600. No way. I'll seal it myself. This is probably what your leak is. Pull the lid off the fuel pump housing to check.

Best wagon ever if the damn airbox would stop vibrating and it didn't have a Ford Escort headliner.

Same with mine. Turned out that the housing, where the fuel lines go through, had some small cracks around the lines. Cleaned, sanded and epoxyed. So far, so good.
