I had some work done on my wife's 97 850t today.

Here's where I went first and what they told me:

Here is where I went afterwards and had the work done:

Check the prices in particular. First time I've had work done on it so I don't know if I got ripped, was charged about right, or got a good deal.

Thanks.

Ok here goes.......

Most shops I've been to have charged an hour of labor no matter what is done, 5 min - 55 min. It looks to me like they charged you an hour of labor to check codes and an hour to replace the throttle body hose (which is the IC hose issued ($92 is alittle high but it is the most expensive charge hose).)

IMHO 42 bucks an hour is a decent labor rate so that seems fair.

OEM volvo parts are expensive, if you don't do the work yourself then you have to deal with it.

FYI an entire SAMCO hose set for your intake is ~$300.

Hope this helps

Unless that is a half an hour.........you could just call and ask them. They should/might tell you. It is usually on the service bill.

No, that's a seperate place from the dealer (Clayton Volvo). The dealer charged $75 to pull codes.

The repair shop (Beaman) charged $42 for the hour of work.
