Heyas,

I have just bought some car wax from the shops called "Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell".
Was just wondering if anyone has used this before and were the results good? I have not tried using it yet.

What do you guys use?

Thanks

Edit: I did find a site with 14 reviews of this product which about 95% of them were good...so it seems that i'll be trying this wax on my next car wash biggrin.gif

For those who want to check out the review goto.

I would recommend a synthetic polish.

I have tried many waxes/polishes - from pure carnuba wax to Zaino. The best one I have found is called Klasse. It's a German designed polish that can be applied by hand or using Porter Cable 7424. It takes a very small amount and lasts very, very long - typically around 6 months per application. The shine is spectacular - very liquid.

Klasse is good but I had a hard time using it, I've found other products that have the same or better shine and are much easier to use. For a wax I recommend s100/P21s. For polishes I recommend poorboy's line of polishes, used with the Porter Cable.

Klasse is indeed good, but I've had trouble using the SG as well. Now I just use the AIO and top it with P21S.

I use Klasse AIO and I top it with Four Star Ultimate Paint Protection. I have great results and both products are easy to use. I then top it off with Victoria Wax's Concours Wax. Provides great shine and awsome protection.

Well i found a website that sold Klasse P21's for about $55 AUD (Australian). I didn't see this product at the local shops. I'm not so sure if i should spend an extra $40 for that wax. Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell only cost me $12. But yeh, i might give it a try....if turtle wax doesn't work out so well.

Well i decided to wash and wax my dads 1996 Black Volvo 850 to test out this "Turtle Wax Super Hard Shell". His car was pretty dirty and all that, and i heard that the best way to test a wax product is to clean a dark coloured car!. Perfect Test subject tongue.gif hehe. Took me a very long time to wax (about 2-3hrs) as i don't have a machine tongue.gif....but all i got to say is this product works great!...the Black colour really looks nice now and very shiney....i was really impressed but arms will probably hurt tommorow...lol dry.gif
Now the next car i have to wash and wax is going to be my 1993 Red Volvo 850...probably do it sometime in the next few days.

Just thought i'd let u guys know how well this product performed...so that other people may want to try this...as it is a cheaper option. biggrin.gif

Thats the wax I used to always use, until I was bombarded with a million different recommendations for other products. But with that being said, I did find it to work quite well, and it was easy to apply and wipe/buff off.

Claybar first is also a good idea

First your car looks great. Second is that I have tried a new
wax and it is the best I have ever used for red. It is Meguiars
TECH wax. I think it is new for 2005. It is really deep on non metallic paint
and much easier to use with almost no dust at all

I use Turtle Wax Color Cure on my black 98 S70.It works great. The reason being regular wax gets in the paint chips and scratches and turns white. The Turtle wax I got is black so it does not turn white .I also tried the green version on a 93 850 I had but did not seem to work as well in that color.

I use Klasse AIO & NXT Tech Wax.

I'm going to try Four Star's Ultimate Paint Protection next time.
