last week end i was doing some back roads when i noticed a red car coming up behid me. it was the brand new vette and it was quick. the road opened up a bit onto a straight away, which gave him the optiion to pass. i slowed down so he would atemped this. when he started to pass me he got up along side of me and he new we were gonna race. i took off. and for about 5 seconds i had him. but then his 6th gear kicked in and he blew by me... ehhh maybe its time for a turbo :wink:

I think it was a joke. I hope it was a joke. <The following rant only applies if it is not a joke.> Because if you actually raced a car on a two road in that fashion you are a horrible detriment to society and your license should be taken away and you should be shot in the foot with a shotgun to keep you from driving again anytime soon. If you are going to entice a person to pass then let them pass. Not letting them pass and racing them is much, much worse than street racing under normal circumstances. This isn't the fast and the furious hotshot, this is real life. Grow up and realize that someone coming the other ways life could be ended by that kind of retardedness, asshole. <Here ends my rant and two cents, no retorts required.>

interesting and probably true how hte ridiculously tall 6th gear is used to blow past him, imagine how 2nd or 3rd gear would of hurt.
on a side note i got the privelage of watching a recent Z06 bounce off the rev limiter in 1st gear, wow the sound, they sound like a truck w/ flowmasters and then the thing passes about 3500 rpm and comes alive in every way, the LS6 is just sexy.
