I know there is a post somewhere about this, but couldn't find it after half an hour of searching, so here goes a question that's been answered before. I tried to completely remove the air box from my car this afternoon, following the instructions in the Haynes manual. I got to the turbo control valve and was stumped. The Haynes book casually instructs you to remove the turbo control valve from the lower part of the box without going into detail about the method. I couldn't get it off by prying on the rubber mounting to remove it from the two plastic posts on the air box. The mounting seems to be on the brittle side, so I didn't want to reef too hard on it. Did I have the right idea, or do you twist the unit out of the rubber mounting somehow? If I need to just pry it off, and if it crumbles, is the part available by itself, or am I going to be stuck buying a new control valve?

Thanks in advance.

Two screws? If that's what I'm thinking of.

Or you can unplug it and push it towards the rear of the car and it will come out of that rubber holder. If you have never pushed it out it will be a bear. I keep mine lube with silicon, so it comes out fairly easy.

Thanks for the help you guys. I guess I'm going to have to get different glasses--it's the last thing I can blame for not seeing the screws...and my bifocals are pretty new!
