Well, it was misfiring that I felt at hard throttle to full throttle....I had Champion double platinum plugs on for about 6 months I think, in which time I got my ST upgrade....I noticed weird jerky feelings when I squished the pedal....Got some advice to get rid of the plats and throw in coppers at .26....so I said, might as well see what happens...only takes about 20 minutes and $8....well, all said and done, and no misfiring, and my car actually boosts up to the 17psi, and runs like a champ....I replaced my tstat also last week, and my highway mileage is up to 22.5mpg (good compared to the 17 I was getting), and my city is yet to be determined this week....this is based on calculations, not the trip computer....
THANKS for the info KEN!

Ken Is Right....switch To Coppers

Best wagon ever if the damn airbox would stop vibrating and it didn't have a Ford Escort headliner.

I am using coppers and they work great on my chipped turbo.
However, the OEM Volvo platinum plugs worked equally well for me and last a lot longer. Volvo knows what they are doing ( at least they did before Ford bought them out
)- so if in doubt , go oem ( IMHO).
Of course - YMMV.

IIRC, the coppers that I use are the Bosch FR7DC plugs.

The onyl reasonI could see needing other than coppers, is if you are running really high boost.
I have seen so many people with bad luck on other plugs, that when I do re-do mine it will be copper all the way, not worth the money in other ones anyway.

yeah, i know the OEM last longer, but I figured that with the cost of OEM, I could go through about 3 sets of coppers!...i know it's three replacements, but atleast if I F up the coppers during gapping, I only lost about $2!....I may actually try the OEM next week and take a hit just to compare the results...we'll see if I get around to that....
Oh, and I bought the Autolite coppers...work just fine, so no complaints so far!...those darn boots are hard to pull off though!
