Alright, so ever since coming back from the Santa Cruz meet, my front suspension has been feeling strange. The car feels alot looser than it did before, which is really the only way I can describe it. It also is tending towards strange groans and pops where it didn't used to make noise. Turn-in doesn't feel as sharp, and the car doesn't understeer as much as it did. I'm planning to take it in for re-alignment, but I'm not sure how much that'll help. Sway bar end links look alright, and the sway bar itself feels solid. Struts seem alright. Strut mounts look alright, there's an even gap on both sides, some cracking but they don't look like they've actually broken. The one thing I noticed was that taking the nuts off the top of the strut, I had just over 45 degrees of movement either side. Any suggestions or input would be appreciated.

Could be time for new balljoints, which of course means replacing the control arms. When I replaced mine I noticed a nice tightening up of the front end due to the new balljoints and a slight smoothing out of front end ride due to the fresh control arm bushings.

Sound's like the problem is in the upper spring perch's (mounts) usually if their cracked when you disassemble them you will find that they are worse than you thought. Also if you have movement in them that is probably the problem(there should be no movement)

Wheee, time to tear in and replace stuff!

Can anyone think of anything I should replace while I'm in there?
