Went to a test drive event Saturday in Foxboro, MA...

They had four different types of the new s40:
T5 6 Speed
T5 Geartronic
2.4i 5 Speed
2.4i Geartronic

Handling: Above par
Acceleration: 6-Speed was very nice, but the t5 does have some turbo lag (expected)
Exterior: Well the pictures speak for that, I like the design.
Interior: Cool console, nice audio package, and as far as leg room (being 6'2 and my brother 6'6 we were pretty comfortable up front but the rear wasn't the best.)

Overall not a bad car, If I were to buy it, it'd have to be the 6-speed smile.gif it felt very smooth in my opinion.

We only took a few pics, too busy driving. They had two courses - Safety course (braking, lane switching, emergency break down, etc.) and the performance course (acceleration & handling).

ohmy.gif Those are the best pictures I've seen of the S40 so far, and I'm not even kidding. biggrin.gif

Alot of them seem to just make it ultra shiny and bling bling, and the others all make it look like a girly car. Nice. I'm glad someone other than me thinks its as great as I do. smile.gif

I really like the rims on the Grey one. I talked to Jayr earlier, appearntly they had a 6 speed there! I thought they weren't even out yet, but that's very exciting. The red T5 I saw at Don Beyer was pretty nice, but that grey one really looks amazing!

I was talking with one the representatives there, and later on this year they will have a version that when you have the key in your pants or purse (ladies), and you go to open the door, as soon as you touch the handle, it unlocks..then also as soon as you touch the shifter, the engine starts up..

some pretty cool features if you ask me...I'm sure they will integrate more too..
