What have you guys done here to your s80's? It seems that almost no one here even has one, or if they do, they are never mentioned. They seem harder to mod than any 850 or S70's due to weight and style, but does anyone do anything appearnace wise?
I have a 2000, and I have a list of things to do, but what have people here done?

yea, volvo4lif3 has an s80, hes got tint, and some other stuff. he is currently looking into getting a chip for it. check out www.speedtuningusa.com it brings the hp from 268 to I THINK 303hp and 330tq. i want to have one in a few years and put some 19's on it, drop it, tint real dark, and all that. should make for a really nice, original, ride. but some companies make exhaust and ecu upgrade but other then that there isnt much.

for the 2.9 any ECU upgrades will be MINIMAL at best
theres no turbo to raise boost.
With the small aftermarket for the Turbo S80's... there is almost none for the 2.9 S80s...performance wise at least. Dont even try to do anything with S80 AWD. Oh..well theres the exhaust.
Handling - lower it and maybe get stiffer shocks/struts...and sways. New/summer tires
You can change your wheels too.
Tint the windows...
If you have the money.. Im sure Stoptech can help develop a Big Brake setup for you...

Checkout Heico Sportiv, they have some S80 stuff:

I thought MS Design had a few product as well but I can't seem to find them.
Honestly, I haven't seen many if any S80's the whole time I've been here on VS. Not that you aren't welcome (
) but check out Swedespeeds S80 forum. That seems pretty dead, too, but at least there's some stuff to read up on there!

Yeah for the 2.9 there isnt much you can do performance wise. Just make the handling better, change suspension and add sway bars. For cosmetics get new rims and Heico has the front chin which you can add if you want. You can also get the aluminum trim and gauge rings for the interior.

sorry guys i assumed he had a turbo, but you know what happens when you assume! with the 2.9 i would get some big rims, tint it real dark, tight headlights, lowered, and do interior mods. thast all you can really do, but i think some big wheels on that big car would be hot, not to mention youd be the only one in your neighborhood.

I was thinking of the speed tuning chip,, but i dont want to have to pay for premium gas. call me cheap, but i commute to work and spend lots of cash on gas as it is.
