Anybody knows how it's all done? It's vinyl so it must be heated up to take a shape. I don't think it can be done with a backing paper. So he either sells a flat piece of vinyl and we have to use the heatgun/hairdryer to form it - kinda sucky idea 'cause anybody can buy the vinyl at the sign shop, or there's some other process involved.
Either way I'd love to see smoke tinted headlamps and taillights on a silver s70 smile.gif I might buy some translucent vinyl and try it for myself.

there is a problem, at least on the s70, the turn signals say 'hella made in germany' and this text will create big bubble in the tint, same goes for the tailights sad.gif I'll try this method on the headlights though 'cause I already bought the tint.

Yes Dancetheman it is something I was planning on doing on my S70 and now that the weather has gotten nicer I am going to. And it is something I wanted to be able to do for any kind of car. It really in theory seems like something very easy to do. Basically should be able cut a piece of vinyl to size then its just lining it up and heating it up and it should take shape to the light. Trying to make a different angle might be a little trickier but nothing I shouldnt be able to figure out. If it happens to fall through with the other person or theres trouble getting cars to the other guy to make up samples let me know. I have access to an S70 and an 850. Sorry not trying to steal this from anyone. I'll try it out and let everyone know how it turns out.

i dont think the problom is making them, that literlaty takes like 2 sec for each one, the problom will be ppl putting them on their cars and the difficultys they might have trying to make it look smooth...!

hey koush?
how did you do it so you can take off your corners?
or is it all stuck on and you have to get a new vinyl when you take your corner off?

soooooooooooooooooooo...
good?
bad?
ugly?

I tried to put the tint on, it's not that easy and anyone doing it for the first time will screw up, this was my second attempt and i got better at doing it but there are few creases sad.gif I'll try few more times, should get it perfect on a 10th attempt lol It looks sick and 100 times better than tinting with the spray. Took two pics, one with the flash one without. The headlights should be easy to do if you manage to do the corners.
Total cost = $14.99 CAD for the roll of tint, so go ahead and try it yourself, if anything you just peel it off smile.gif

its put on top of the corners, so if u do change then u would have to put new vinyl on...if u want u can send me the sample that u want (the shape of the eyelids) me to form them in, and i can send them to u for free to try, and if ppl who dont have the eyes lids on...maybe i can sell then for a small fee and get somehting going...

also...i made the carbon fider peice between the taillights on the 850 from vynal, ill post some pics up within the next 2 days, i wanna see if ppl are intrested in this...and see whats up with it. cool.gif
