I bought some Dupli-color graphite paint to paint my volans with. Does anyone know if this paint would hold up if I used it to paint the rotor hats?

I think it might look cool with the same color on the hats.

Just put a bunch on there Tom. I used a high temp SS flake paint on mine, and it held up for about 6 month.. then the heat and the water / rust got to it.

I too need to paint my rotor hats tongue.gif

Is it too late to do once they have rust on them, or can you just clean them then paint away?

Get POR15 cast iron grey paint. I'll be close color wise, indestructable and paints on right over rust. No matter how ugly you brush it on, it always dries even. Heat wont phase it, I paint my exhaust manifolds and turbos with it w/out ill-effects.

take a look on the exhaust housing there.

I've been using the same pint for probably a decade! The stuff goes for a long way.

it wont have the same metallic look as antracite but it looks nice. You can always use it as a base and paint over it with wheel paint. Atleast when the wheel paints wore off you wouldn't have to worry about rust.

Mmm, painting the car in "Factory Manifold Gray" would look good, and hold up against the sun!

So it only comes in buckets, so is application any more difficult?

just get a bristle brush (plastic/nylon) and brush it on. Its thick as stuff and dont worry about how it looks going on, it dries perfect.
