Stage 0....

Check and replace all vacuum lines, check and replace spark plugs, wires, dist cap / rotor, along with checking gap on the new plugs... Clean out the intercooler piping and throttle body, etc...

If you still have the problems, then just turn up the boost until you can get that O2 sensor signal down to around .9.

If you've been running a cat with the car that rich, depending on how long it's been like that, your cat is likely shot... Move it up and down on the car and see if you can hear any broken bits of the internals shaking inside it while you move it.

If all your vacuum lines are new, none of your intercooler piping or elbows are leaking or very weak (squeeze them and see if they feel overly flimsy, then look at the inside if they are to see how much deterioration there is from oil deposits.) and replace as necessary (If more than one elbow is bad, then get the Samco kit...), and if your cat is not clogged, and all of your ignition components are new and your plugs are gapped correctly, then it would be time to start looking for compression problems, turbo problems, and more serious things. I would bet on it being something simple though...

Good luck.

hey freeskier8585, how much did the auterra cost? I was thinking about getting one, it seems to get great reviews from people on this board.

There's nothing wrong with your car. You live at 6500 feet and it's robbing horsepower from you like crazy.

I live in Santa Fe, NM at 7000 feet and I have the same problem as you. Just be thankfull that every other car at your altitude suffers the same horsepower loss as you, or worse if they aren't turbo.

A new Mustang GT will run 15.2@~93 MPH and a LS1 T/A will lay down a 14.2@99-100 in stock trim in Albuquerque at 5300 feet. That's nearly a second worse than the published numbers.

Auterra is a Palm Pilot OBD-2 interface.

Hell, I thought it was some kind of Kia. Kia Autera GTX. Kia Autera S600. Kia Autera Zamboni. You know...
Oh, I see. That's "rr" not "r".

have you checked/replaced every vacuum line & turbo hose? If you have a leak the ECU will DUMP the fuel on ya and the o2 reading goes sky high

I agree, with a low time, high o2 reading that really sounds like a vaccum leak, I had the same problem awhile back and it was a crack on the tip of one of the vaccum nipples. make sure you really look over all hoses well! Best of luck! cool.gif
