So I bought and installed a $20 set of rice foglights from Pep Boys. They work really well, but they look pretty hideous when they aren't on. Is there any way to tint them or something so they don't look so ridiculous? Thanks.

I would suggest to get that do-it-yourself window tinting stuff, but then it might melt from the heat of the foglights.. you could also probably paint the fog light housing to match the color of your car

I took some pics, but after looking at them on the compy, they're too crappy to post. I'll get some tomorrow when it's light outside.
My concern isn't the housings (which are black), but rather the lenses, which are purple/blue and overall a bit too rice for my liking. The cool yellow ones they had were too big, as were the clears. Ah well.
Let me know if you guys think of anything. Could I spray some gray paint onto them to tint them or something?

you cant use normal paint for the lenses, but im pretty sure home depot or any home-improvement or automotive store should have a window tinting spray paint... i think someone on the boards has used it...

There are special paints designed for glass with seethrough effect, you can buy them in walmart or any other craftstore. Spraying with a normal paint won't do any good.
If you have those foglights in stock location you could cutout round pieces of acrylic, tint it and stick it in the foglights holes

Thinking back to my R/C roots, I piecked up some R/C window tint from the hobby store. Right = old ugliness, left = new hotness. Pic is huge because I just reformated my drive (what I get for running Windoze) and don't have PS yet.

I guess I'll see how it holds up, especially to heat. Looks wayyy better though.

did they fit right into those little holes where the little grills are on the bumper? Or where did you mount em?

Haven't plugged 'em in yet to check light output, but I've been mounting them with some insane foam tape in the center part of the airdam. I'll get pics later today.
