Really? I wish I knew that before, good to know though.
by the way, these are good guys, I've only dealt with their parts department, but they were nice people who knew what they were doing.

Sorry, I can't agree here. Almost every service visit has required a followup to fix or complete a repair -- which they've always done without charge, but I live 35 miles from the dealership which makes it a huge hassle for dropping and getting the vehicle.
My last visit, a 60k checkup on a 2002 S60 AWD, was spec'd at $500 on the phone but ended up being over $1500 though no significant problems were found. All extra charges were "suggested" additions which I could have / should have refused. My bad, but managing expectations is part of dealing with your customers these days. Curiously, they never did issue a followup customer service report card or phone call as they had in times past.
Never again. I'm in this forum today to find an independant...

Phil, in that case, I (and many others on VS in the area) would seriously recommend Volvo Specialists. Their number is 303-722-8658. Mike and the entire crew are GREAT to do business with. Fair, timely and generally good people.
