If I found a pair of s80 seats how hard would it be to make them fit into my 850?

I dont think it'd be to hard. My s60's seats look like they'd damn near bolt in.

I agree with Doug. Volvo doesn't change their seats much, so I doubt they change the mounting.

If I wasn't so lazy (or busy) I'd try my s60 seats in the R to let you know.

thanks for the help guys, im sure I could fabricate something to make them fit, but what about hooking up the seat controls? And someone said he thought the s80 seats were too wide to fit.

Seat controls just need power. Everything else is in the module that is attached under the seat. Only problem I can think of is the SIPS airbag... but that might also work since I see no reason for Volvo to change that as well.

P2 seats have a great deal more cushioning and support. They are also more comfortable than P1 seats. Atleast that's what I think everytime I sit in the S60.

I dont know. Uptill I started driving the R I agree whole heartidy. Actually I was convinced the first thing I was going to do was take out the seats and put in a set of S60 seats. Actually I had found a set of Ocean Race V70 seats... they are black leather, heated and have heavy blue stitching. I know where they are still actually ph34r.gif

My biggest concern was hooking the SIRS.

S60 seats might fit, but i'm not too sure about the s80 seats. My car is a bit wider, and has a larger interior, with larger seats. I know compared to my sister's s70 seats, mine are a great deal wider. It's worth a shot, because, they are darn comfortable smile.gif GL to you.

My friend's S60 (may it live on in memorium) had the inscription s60 sport seats in charcoal gray, those were without a doubt the most comfortable and supportive seats that I have ever sat in.

I would think mounting the seat would be the problem but rather the seat belt. I would make sure that the mounting points are pretty close.
