excl.gif Hey guys, dont know how many of u have first hand expereince of the 940 exhasut but it has a huge section the protrudes from the bumper it a double twist S shape. i havent got the budget for a new back box so i want to hacksaw back to where it leaves the bumper and fit a exhaust trim.
people have suggested in UK VOC that this will result in fumes being sucked back into the car since the pipe will subsequently exit at a different location!?!?!?
dont want to kill myself and dont want to have to pay for new wnd pipe if i make a mistake
thoughts/opinions please!

I want to do the same thing on my 960. I'm thinking if you cut off the s-bend and put a tip on to extend it out the back a little bit, you can run it safely. I'm not sure, and I haven't done it yet, and I dont want to be responsible if you die. But there are plenty of people who have straight pipes coming out of the 700/900's tail ends.
See Here.

I have heard that the s-pipe was just to cut down on exhaust resonance?
