I've seen pads for those in places like Kragen or Autozone. Your best bet would be to post pics to see how bad your paint is so we can suggest what kind of pad and how abrasive the polish should be. You can get a lot of supplies online. I get mine from http://www.premiumautocare.com/. by the way dont even bother with the Meguiars gold class wax, they're not that good.

lol actually the products I use aren't expensive, but yeah wash the car, clay then wash again. Dry, use a sealant, then wax. I'm sure cody has a write up about this somewhere.
I've tried different polishes and I'm very happy with poorboyspoorboys pro polishes. For waxes I recommend S100/P21s. I'm a big fan of Meguiars too just not the gold class wax and clay bar.
Scott, I've tried menzerna in the past, good polish, great results but I had a difficult time removing it even with the Porter Cable.

Hey - I was reading about an update to Menzerna's Final Polish II that might cure that problem ...

I'm not sure if they also made this change to the IP ... I'll give them a call.

does wonders, also you can do all this by hand but it takes a while.. so i just recommend a cheapo buffer w/ terry cloth applicators.

Ok I polish cars for a summer job...it's my business. You'll be just fine w/ your orbital buffer. It won't hurt the paint as long as you take the advice given in this column and use a regular polishing foam pad and don't put all your weight onto the buffer. Just use it gently and everything will turn out well. As for waxes and polishes: I realize most people are going to get angry for me saying this but most inexpensive waxes are about the same; whether you go for maguires or mothers or even turtle wax, they'll all last a couple of months and give a half decent shine. The polish however can make a difference. I recommend going w/ 3-M's line of polishes...this is what a number of body shops use after re-painting etc or if they are doing a recondition. You can find these at your local auto parts store. Another good place to look is on this website: http://www.topoftheline.com You can look for polishes there...just stick to the ones that are for light compounding/light swirl removal for your purposes. Good luck
