I've been told that the wind deflector lowers air noise and sun and all that crap, unfortunately ive noticed that when i have my sunroof tilted upwards not fully open, the noise is SIGNIFICANTLY more than when my dad has his up in his car without the deflector? Anyone know if this thing is worth having on it? i like the look better without it.

I never have had one on my various Volvos but on my two GTIs and two Passats I did, and what I liked is you could run w/the roof opened some or a lot in the rain, depending on (a) speed and (
amount of rain.
For some reason they do not look good on the 850/70 body IMO.

Hangin' on in Baltimore
- V70 so stock
- Taurus NA
- und Das Silber Benz
Some people are like Slinkies. They're good for absolutely
nothing but a lot of fun to push down the stairs.
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a raindance.

it looks terrible if you have a deflector and pop the sunroof up, I just open it all the way. The sunroof is MUCH quieter with the deflector on and the sunroof open, its my favorite way to cruise now.
