I personally have had no problems with these guys. However I will tell you, I do not like the service department guy. His name is Jason. He is a shifty/shady/lieing cheat.

My dad doesn't trust him, I don't trust him and our friend now doesn't trust him.

He is trying to rip my dad's friend off, and he will do it to you too probably.

Because this user lacks any credibility and has been banned long ago I have removed the rest of this users posts from this thread, as well as the related conversation on the grounds that they are not helpful to someone interested in this dealership. These posts can be found here. I believe if you read the conversation you will understand. His comments are borderline libel/slander resulting from ignorance and a desire to badmouth someone who may or may not have said he is a liar. - Matt/VS Legend

when I lived in york I was advised to steer clear of them [hence why I never dealt with them personally] ... sounds like your typical dealer

Well considering that Lehmans has been the #1 dealer in the nation for the last 4 yrs. thats hard to believe.

As for the problems with your DADS cars, it sounds like typical coil packs and ETM issues. It doesnt sound like the dealer is ripping u off just probibly cleaning your ETM's.

As for the "Jason" not telling the truth ?? well i have know jason as a service writer for many years and he always tells it like it is. good or bad. maybe your car wasnt as nice as u had thought it was ?

I think i even heard about your car. Are u the one who tried to put in a Oil Pressure gauge and created a huge oil leak and had to have Lehmans fix it ??????

On March 23 through the 25th Lehman Volvo of York Pennsylvania will be having an open house to celebrate their new location at 950 North Hills Road. The event will celebrate the past,present,and future of Lehman Volvo and Volvo cars.
This will be an event that will also encompass 50 years of Volvo in America. To help make this a special event we will have classic and modern Volvos on display and you are invited to participate! We are looking for everything from 544s to the latest R cars to be put on display for the weekend. There will be a people's choice award for the top 3 cars as judged by our customers and visitors that weekend. There will be food on hand, and members of VCOA will be there as well. I've seen nothing shady from this dealership at all. In fact, I've seen quite the opposite. Everyone I've spoken to at this dealership has been very forthcoming and honest. They tend to give me all of the details and not hold anything back or try to BS me about anything whatsoever. I highly recommend this dealership, they have provided great service and I didn't even buy my car there.

Examples of appreciated service at this dealership:

1. My glasses broke when the arm got stuck between the dashboard glass and grey plastic in my XC. I called up and service writer Jason invited me to come in right away. Within 15 minutes they had gotten the arm back for me and I was on my way. They didn't even charge a penny, unlike some other dealerships which would charge you just for holding your keys for six seconds.

2. I am having transmission problems and Lehman Volvo has put a very appreciable amount of time into trying to get the POS warranty company to pay to have it replaced. Unfortunately, the extended warranty company Volvo has chosen (but has now gotten rid of, I believe?) sucks pretty hard and despite feeling the problem they will not replace it without numbers proving there is a pressure problem, but the service department at this dealership has been very helpful at trying to get this replaced and continues to do so.

nothing but love for this dealership....

dad owned a 1998 C70 and the warrenty was soon up so he called them and asked if they could find him a new one preferably silver and asked for specific features and within a week they had 3 different places they could get him one from....

not to mention all of the great service they have done on my mom's previous S70 and her current S80....

I used to take my car to Lehman in Mechanicsburg, which is where I purchased it. Nice sales staff for sure, but service....it was ok. They are so nice at both places with regard to loaners and making sure you are hooked up with a ride, but I didn't think they were as professional as they could have been. So, I tried York. Even though the dealership is owned by the same people I feel like the service I get is significantly better. Jason is an awesome service writer who shows significant care and concern for your questions and Shane definitely is the best mechanic I have ever had work on my car. Never met him, but for example he found a few things wrong which didn't happen over night with my car only 3 weeks after it had been in at Mechanicsburg. 'Nuf said...this is where I am purchasing/servicing my Volvos as long as I am in the area.

There fantastic , even though I do all my own work except for warrenty stuff since its free ( and they wash my car evertime it goes in)

that and the parts guys in Harrisburg PA shop are great, the only bad part I am on a first name basis with them in the past week lol

What I am about to say is no exaggeration: The saddest part of moving away from York, PA was leaving the best Volvo dealership I've ever seen behind and knowing I probably won't find one of this quality again anytime soon. (I know, it's sad. There wasn't much to love about York, I guess.)

The service department is extremely accommodating and helpful, and they've always done everything they can to make service appointments as easy as possible. Labor rates are reasonable, and Lehman Volvo charge you honestly - you won't hear a list of fifty things you don't really need or see a bill for a hundred things they "did" which they charged you extra for. In fact, I was quoted almost $800 less at Lehman Volvo than I was at a dealership in New Jersey for the same exact work - to top it all off, I got to drive a brand new Volvo C30 2.0 while this was being worked on - something the NJ dealer didn't offer at all. The loaner vehicles I've seen were all modern Volvo cars and were kept in great condition. I even had the pleasure of driving a brand new S80 3.2 for approximately a week when I had my transmission replaced in my 2001 XC.

Though I never actually purchased a vehicle at this dealership, I found the sales staff to be very kind as well when speaking with them.

10/10 - I strongly recommend this dealership.

Lehman is indeed a great place to source parts and discuss issues, Jason and Brian are more than helpful. I've done business with them on many occasions and that review tops it off just right.

This is by far the best dealer in the general region, I'd travel an hour to get to them if I lived that far away. I had an evac, recharge and dye performed roughly a month or so ago and it turns out I needed a new A/C compressor. Jason gave me the same package again at 50% off. Their recommendations are for real, no guessing about it. Excellent dealership!

Theses guys here are great. I live in harrisburg and i would rather come all the way out here for service. The Dealer in harrisburg is nice dont get me wrong. but they are not up with all the aftermarket things. The dealer in mechansiburg is a very rude one. The never treat me with respect. I try and stay away from there the best that i can.
