Nothing better than a n00b who comes in and starts $hit, huh?
It's a wonderfull elitist attitude you take, Joe,
Apparently, having owned and raced atleast four different turbocharged cars at altitude and at sea level means nothing to you.
Currently I own:
2002 Passat 1.8t - K&N, MBC - Wife's Car
1997 850R
1985 Omni GLH Turbo - My real race car
I just sold:
2002 WRX Sport Wagon - Perrin downpipe, JDM STi uppipe, K&N, Greddy Profec-B, etc..
Each of these cars performs completely differently at sea level and at high altitude. My wife's car is a consistent 16.05 dial-in at the track in albuquerque, but at Carlsbad Raceway near San Diego I ran 15.60's all day long.
The Omni showed similar gains at low altitude. Honestly, top end power isn't *ALL* that much greater, but driveability is. Boost comes in at a reasonable RPM at sea level. At high altitude you get out your Day Planner and schedule some boost for later on in the day.
I actually haven't had the Volvo at low altitude yet, I bought it in Salt Lake City which is at 4500 feet and then drove through the Rockies through Colorado and into New Mexico. I have a sneaky suspicion that I might actually get some boost below 3500 RPM down there.
I invite all of you to come to New Mexico to get a taste of high altitude suckness. I live in Santa Fe, so if any of you have a wife or girlfriend, bring them along and you can have the entire upstairs of my house to yourself. Santa Fe is a huge tourist destination, you know. You'll love it, but your car will hate it.

No, there's a difference between being an elitist and thinking you are the 1337est.

Remember guys, according to Joe everything you say is a lie, we have grown men running around making up stories like children...If it's not that then you just don't know what you're talking about, you can't drive, or the person you drive against just doesn't know how to drive.
Good kill, being it the point of this thread was that a kill was made and all

Mahm00dy, dude your getting owned. Joe and I bring actual numbers with us in arguements... NOT butt dyno's.
No, I brought the numbers in.
edit: as a matter of fact M00 had numbers in there before you two did. And BTW, no matter who's bringing the numbers in ITS STILL BENCH RACING. Go buy a T5 and modify it and then maybe (maybe) we will be willing to listen to your stuff.
But yeah Joe, torque drops afer 5000, huh? THE S2000 NEVER actually even gets any decent amount of torque.
But either way you're all nuts, neither car is superior to the other. One's a light weight convertible roadster, the other is a medium size near-luxury sport sedan. A chipped and exhausted T5 will run about equal to an S2000 - it's a drivers race. As a matter of fact just throw an MBC on and it will according to Jcheun (you guys must be getting sick of me mentioning him by now). Sorry M00, but they are right. It definitely is a competent opponent, like they say, but it will NOT be a blatant asswhooping like they are trying ever so hard to imply. Drivers race, all the way (especially the way a lot of S2000 owners don't know how to drive them).
Wow.
Matt, your the biggest f-ing bench racer here, bar NONE.
A chipped, exhaust well tuned 850R will run with a STOCK s2k, not one with even a cold air intake.
'nuff said.
Oh, you know whats funny? Joe's c70 is pretty much stock and he's on the UPPER HALF of the VS 1/4 mile times chart. Maybe you guys should goto the track.
