I'm thinking impure thoughts again, but I know that I've seen E36 lights on an 850 somewhere. I like the idea of have a proper projector for HIDs more than anything and the black jewel + Hella projector just sounds liek $1200 worth of grief and pain. Anyone got pics or insight on this?

I kind of gave up on that site. I think guys just get their high school friends to vote for them or something. Too many featured stock Buicks and stuff.

Isn't this the guy who was sold those lights twice on eBay to the same bidder for $1500 each time? Now they are for sale again for $1000?

I know this car, but I don't really want to spend more than couple hundred. Plus I would need to take them apart again and paint them black inside. The chrome is a little over the top even for my tastes.

Flares were on, door handles gone, eyebrows molded into the hood... It was looking tough!

Lost touch with him though.

There is a huge selection of E36 projector stuff available and is it just me or do the 5 LED lights between the 2 main lights look a little weird? I'm the kind of person that gets bothered by little nuances like that. The eyelids will cover any minor fitment issues and I can grind on and smoke my corners to fit/match if needed. I just want something different that looks semi-factory and provides better lighting. I need to line everything up and check, otherwise I'm thinking my old Rallye Golf lights might work in pinch, but then we are back to $600 or more without HID.

This is what I wanted to see. I have been researching other projector fitments and it looks like the E36 will fit best. Thanks.

Someone should find a way to make the E36 lights work really well and start making kits... *think* cheaper than the current jewels. Also, we'd need something similar for the corners, because those on the 850 look downright ugly with the E36 lenses.
