98 V70 Dash Removal

so i decided to paint my interior trim today, the gray was just too boring. I was able to get the vents out with ease, then i started on the rest of the dash trim. Apparently you have to basically remove the entire center console to take out all of the trim around the stereo/climate control? is this correct? I'm a little hung up right now trying to get this apart...sorry no pics, my dad has my digital camera

I appreciate any insight on how to do this. thanks. (98 V70)

you have access to a haynes manual or chiltons manual?

they can be a big help in times like this. they're about 20 bones at your local auto parts store..
