I already tried to search, but all I see are people taking about 16" and 17" rims.

I have a stock 95' 850 GLT with 15" stock alloy. I just want to have a little more aggressive look on the car by up grading the tire size from 195/60/15 to 205/60/15. From the tire calculator, the speed reading will be ~2% too slow. Has anyone had this tire size on? Will it rub? Any suggestion?

shouldn't be a problem....i had 16" wheels with 205/50/16 tires on my 850 wag....you're putting bigger tires on a smaller wheel....no problemo at alll

Thanks!

I hope it will look a little bit better and ride smoother (wider and higher profile).

On my 97 850 I had 205/60r/15 on my car with 20mm spacers in the rear and it looked nice I still have the spacers. The spacers bring the wheels out to the well and give a good look from the back no rubbing problems at all.

Did that do anything noticeable to your handling? Widening the rear track should increase understeer in a FWD car If I Recall Correctly.

I did not feel anything different but I am not as in tune as some of you plus I do not drive this car every day. I did put 215/45/17 on and the footprint is almost the same spot as 15'' with spacers but the 215/45/17 are about an 3/4" wider.

I just checked the speedo reading against a GPS today. Looks like the speedo is already too slow with the OEM tire size (195/60R15). I was actually going 61.7 MPH (GPS), but the my speedo showed 60MPH.

Maybe I should reconsider getting a set of 205/55R15 instead of 205/60R15 which will make it even worst. What is the tire brand you are recommending? My priority is cheap=> road noise => comfort => traction => tread wear. Thanks.
